Volunteer
At Wild Hearts, it's more than being a "volunteer."
It opens up an entirely new horizon as you play a vital role in the power of equine-assisted therapy and learning programs.
We hope you will arrive ready to lend a hand and leave feeling like you have become a part of something much bigger than yourself.
Seeing the difference you make in the life of one of our clients can become an awe-inspiring experience.

Volunteer Training Requirements
Our passion for our programs, horses, and clients is never more evident than in our volunteer training program.
All new volunteers are required to attend 4 weeks of training, just 2 hours each week plus a client mentorship/on the job training of 10 hours for a total of 18 hours of training over a four-week period.
Each weekly training agenda is jam packed with information, so we ask that you commit to attending all four weeks.
We are asking for a $50 fee to cover the cost of materials (which includes a take home binder of training materials), and a Wild Hearts T-shirt at the completion of the course.
Once you are trained, your participation as a volunteer is on your time and on your schedule.
Consistency is the key to connection, trust, and growth.
You’ll choose days/times that work for you on a consistent basis. You will then be matched with client sessions and become a part of the herd for that client.
When you plan to be out of town, have a visiting guest, or need to schedule an appointment, just let us know in advance and we will find a substitute for you.
